Virginia Plater has been providing physiotherapy services for over 27 years, in various communities throughout the Grey-Bruce region. She has extensive experience working with individuals in their homes, in long term care facilities, in retirement homes, and in group homes.
Virginia has worked in both management and in direct patient care. She has been a Professional Practice Leader for Physiotherapists in the Grey-Bruce region, and has served on the Home Care Advisory Committee with the Ontario Physiotherapy Association. She has provided education services related to patient and staff safety and care in long term care facilities. At present, she is a member of two inter-agency committees: the Community Coalition for the Prevention of Falls in Older Adults, and the Grey Bruce Falls Prevention and Intervention Program.
Virginia especially enjoys the rewards and challenges when assisting individuals to achieve their personal physiotherapy goals in their own homes.
